On April 13, 2011, the Wanås Foundation, in collaboration with Kristianstad konsthall, presented the international seminar Green Strategies for the Art Field. The aim of the seminar was to provide a unique discussion and hands-on advice on how museums, art galleries, artists, and others working in the cultural field can find environmentally sustainable methods of working. The day contained lectures and panel discussions with international experts in core areas such as museum administration, exhibition production, architecture, conservation, food, public programming, and more. The goal was to create a vital dialogue about the problems, challenges, and possibilities that we are facing.
The seminar Green Strategies for the Art Field was a continuation of the celebrated international seminar that took place at Wanås in 2009, which addressed art, ecology, and what contributes the most to environmental progress: individual efforts or collective system changes.
